Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at Leigh Hall is seeking a Resident Programs Director to plan, supervise, and monitor engaging activities for residents in the memory care and assisted living neighborhoods. The role supports clinical staff and ensures residents' physical and emotional health through tailored programs.

The position requires CPR/First Aid certification, prior activity programming experience in elder care, and the ability to collaborate with families, staff, and volunteers to maintain

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Two years of college in a health care field or as an activities professional.
• Knowledge of social and psychological needs of residents.
• Willingness to obtain UAIs and ISPs certificates or already certified.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Designs a creative activity program meeting residents' needs and interests.
• Plans and maintains a seven-day activity calendar including group and 1:1 programming.
• Monitors daily operations in the Sweet Memories neighborhood, including ADLs and meals.
• Participates in Care Plan and family meetings; communicates with families.
• Oversees program staff, volunteers, and training; ensures quality of life through activities.
• Supports transport for outings and medical trips; weekend coverage as assigned.
