Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) seeks an Elite Outside Sales Advocate to expand small business membership in a field-based role across local markets. You’ll conduct face-to-face meetings, deliver a proven 5-minute presentation, and close membership deals on the spot, all while advocating for small business rights.

This represents a Hunter/Closer position with uncapped commissions, paid training, full benefits, and a self-directed field schedule (M-F, 8-10 hours/day).

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial track record: owned a business, led a department, or managed territory with accountability.
• Relational grit: excel at face-to-face cold calls and building instant rapport with owners.
• Coach mentality: quick learner, thrives on structured sales models and continuous improvement.
• Mission-driven: growth of NFIB membership and advocacy in DC and state capitals.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting: in-person cold calls with small business owners (no appointments).
• The NFIB Presentation: deliver a concise 5-minute verbatim pitch.
• The Close: perform an assumptive one-call close and process payments on the spot.
• Advocacy: educate owners on NFIB advocacy in DC and state capitals.
