Job summary

YouFit Gyms is seeking a friendly Member Service Specialist to welcome members and guests, manage check-ins, answer inquiries, and assist with memberships and billing in a fast-paced gym environment.

Ideal candidates are 18+, fluent in English, and available for flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will help with retention, enforce policies, and keep the front desk and facility clean and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing in English.
• Availability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with members, guests, and prospects.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for processing check-ins, updating accounts, and managing member interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, guests, and prospects to create a welcoming environment.
• Manage member check-ins by verifying status and addressing alerts.
• Answer phone calls and assist members with inquiries and direction.
• Handle account management and billing tasks including updates and payments.
• Support retention efforts by engaging with members considering cancellations and offering solutions.
• Process transactions and manage cash drawer with accuracy for retail, passes, and payments.
• Enforce gym policies to maintain a safe, respectful environment.
• Perform opening and closing duties following procedures.
• Assist with front desk cleanliness and overall facility upkeep as needed.
• Guide prospects through membership options and facility tour.
