Georgia’s Own Credit Union in Buford, GA seeks a Universal Banker I to provide exceptional service as both teller and seller. You will handle deposits, loans, and account openings while building lasting member relationships and recommending suitable financial solutions.

You will be a knowledgeable resource, processing transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes proactive, consultative service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a financial branch environment or related retail sales experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with members and colleagues; written and verbal communication.
• Experience with loan applications and standard internal policies/procedures.
• Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, and lending/member service policies.
• Familiarity with financial data interpretation and basic math calculations.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; background check required.

Responsabilités

• Greet and engage members to create a welcoming experience.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan and credit card payments, and other transactions.
• Maintain teller balancing records and follow balancing standards.
• Adhere to Credit Union policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Operate branch technology (ATMs, cash recyclers, debit issuance, check scanning, ITMs).
• Open/close consumer and business membership accounts; assist with account maintenance.
