Job summary

Georgia’s Own Credit Union is seeking a Universal Banker I to join our branch team. The role blends teller and sales responsibilities, delivering exceptional member service while handling transactions, account openings, loans, and referrals to suitable products.

You will work with our members to assess financial needs, explain available services, support compliance, and contribute to a positive branch experience. Prior banking experience preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a financial branch or similar industry.
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal forms.
• Knowledge of loan applications, processing, and compliance requirements.
• proficiency with basic math, balances, and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and provide exceptional service in person, phone, or digital channels.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions.
• Open/close consumer and business accounts; maintain records per policy.
• Assist with loan applications, decisions, and documentation.
• Educate members on services and cross-sell as appropriate.
• Document member interactions and follow up on service needs.
