Job summary

BD is seeking a field-based Medical Sales Specialist in Warwick, RI. You will drive territory sales, grow accounts, and serve as a product specialist educating surgeons and OR staff on our BD products.

This role requires traveling about 60% across the territory, maintaining current product knowledge, and providing on-site support during procedures, with a focus on building strong customer relationships and meeting profitability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience; medical sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel at least 60% (including overnight).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Meet territory sales and profitability goals as established by the company.
• Grow sales of current accounts and develop new accounts within the territory.
• Position self as a product specialist and educate surgeons and OR staff on BD products.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure correct product use.
• Train physicians and hospital staff on product usage and benefits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, channels, and pricing.
• Attend customer meetings and tradeshows; report outcomes post-event.
• Advise customers on pricing, backorders, and forecasts; manage expectations.
• Develop new prospects and establish customers in the territory.
