Job summary

BD is a global medical technology leader seeking a field-based Sales Specialist in the USA. You will grow current accounts and establish new ones, presenting and educating surgeons and OR staff on BD products to drive adoption and correct usage.

You will train physicians and hospital staff, stay current on product information, attend meetings and tradeshows, and travel up to 60% to meet territory goals. Vaccination/testing policies may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience, medical sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet auto safety standards.
• Ability to travel at least 60% (including overnight).

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the designated territory and budget.
• Grow sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Position self as a product specialist and educate on BD products to surgeons and OR staff.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure accurate use.
• Train physicians and hospital staff on product use and maintain current product information.
• Maintain knowledge of products, channels, and distribution methods.
• Meet territory sales and profitability goals and develop new prospects.
• Advise customers on pricing, policies, forecasts, and changes; resolve complaints.
• Attend customer meetings and tradeshows; report attendance and outcomes.
• Promote Davol products for bid accounts; perform special projects as assigned.
