Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc is hiring a MED TECH at The Oaks at Nipomo to assist residents with medication administration and documentation. The role requires setting up medications, recording administration, and following MAR policies under RN/RSD direction.

Eligible candidates must pass health screenings and background checks and be available to work at least one weekend day. Westmont offers competitive pay and benefits with a focus on compassionate elder care.

Qualifications

• Set up and assist with medications as ordered.
• Record and document medication assistance on MARs.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance.
• Maintain MARs with no blanks and record PRN medication reasons.
• Be able to work at least one weekend day.
• Collaborate with RN and RSD for medication administration.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance

• Leaves no blanks on MARs

• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.

• Must be able to work at least one weekend day.
