Job summary

Westmont Living in Cypress, CA is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with medication administration and MAR documentation. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to policy, and collaboration with nursing staff for safe resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform medication setup and assist residents on the medication program per policy.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including MARs; leaves no blanks on MARs; document PRN reasons and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration of medications.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or the RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; ensure MARs have no blanks; document reasons for PRN medications and effectiveness.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-

  administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at

  the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance

  • Leaves no blanks on MARs

  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
