Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join Westmont of Carmel Valley in San Diego. The role involves medication setup and assisting residents with self-administration under RN guidance, plus accurate documentation of MARs and PRN notes.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration.
• Set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; ensure no blanks.
• Document reasons for PRN medications on MARs and note effectiveness.
• Support criminal record clearance and health screening requirements; maintain compliance.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.

Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• Leaves no blanks on MARs
• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
