Westmont Living is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join our caring team. You will assist residents with medication set-up, support self-administration under RN and physician directions, and document carefully on MARs.

You must pass health screenings, background checks, TB test, and keep current first aid certification. We train you and offer competitive pay and benefits.

Competenze

• Criminal background clearance required before starting
• Pass health screens (Physical, TB, drug test)
• Current first aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire
• Must meet state medication administration policy requirements

Mansioni

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN and RSD
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance
• Leave no blanks on MARs; document reasons for PRN medication and effectiveness
• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Maintain current basic first aid certification within 30 days of hire

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
