Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a compassionate MED TECH for Westmont of Morgan Hill. You will assist residents with medication setup and self-administration under RN guidance, ensuring accurate MAR documentation and compliance.

You will complete MAR entries, record PRN medication reasons and effectiveness, and follow all policy and state requirements. Health clearance, vaccination, and first aid readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Must have criminal record clearance.
• Must pass health screen (Physical, TB, drug test).
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; leave no blanks.
• Document reasons for PRN medication on MARs and effectiveness of medication.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 or must willing to get fully vaccinated.
