Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is hiring a compassionate MED TECH for Westmont at San Miguel Ranch, an assisted living and memory care community. You will support residents with the Medication Program and daily living tasks in a homelike setting.

Responsibilities include medication setup, MAR documentation, and adherence to physician orders under RN direction; you will pass health screenings and background checks as part of our commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience with medication administration and MAR documentation.
• Ability to assist with medications as ordered by physicians and RN.
• Document medication assistance with MARs and record PRN reasons/effectiveness.

• Record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and RN.
• Document medication assistance on MARs with no blanks.
• Assist residents with ADL tasks.
• Must pass health screenings and background checks.
• Complete post-offer physical, TB test, and drug testing if required.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-
• administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at
• the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • o Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • o Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • o Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Caregiver-Assisting residents with ADL tasks.
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
