Westmont Living in La Mesa, CA, is seeking a Med Tech to support residents in our assisted living and memory care community. You will perform medication set-up and assist residents with self-administration under RN supervision.

This role requires precise MAR documentation, accurate records, and adherence to state requirements. A pre-employment physical, TB test, and background checks are required within our licensing regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with medications and MARs documentation.
• Ability to maintain accurate medication records per policy.
• Pass health screen and background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including MARs details and reasons for PRN medication.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
• o Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• o Leaves no blanks on MARs
• o Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
