Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a compassionate MED TECH for the Westmont of Cypress community. This role covers night shift hours (10:00pm–6:00am) and involves ensuring safe medication administration, assisting residents with the medication program, and maintaining accurate MAR documentation.

You will work under the direction of the RN/RSD, perform health and safety screenings as required, and support a homelike environment while meeting licensing and company policies.

Qualifications

• Medication set-up and assist residents with the Medication Program
• Record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and RN/RSD supervision
• Document MARs and reasons for PRN medications accurately

Responsibilities

• Record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN/RSD
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance and provide reasons for PRN meds

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-
• administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at
• the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
