Position Summary

** Fully Remote ANYWHERE within the continental U.S. ***

Training hours 9 - 5:30 EST or CST

Work hours after training 10 - 6:30 pm EST

The WorkLife Consultant (WLC) is part of the WorkLife Team and provides education about community resources, resource needs assessment, and community and/or national referrals to customers for needs including childcare, elder/adult care, and basic needs. The WLC offers Worklife consultation and informational services to members and plan sponsors, frequently handling requests related to emergency financial, housing, childcare, elder care, and health needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess resource needs, propose options, and research potential community service providers.
  • Provide resource referrals and educate individuals on resource utilization.
  • Document member interactions and research outcomes systematically.
  • Work in inbound and outbound call center environments, including outbound research calls and administrative tasks.
  • Additional duties may include staffing an online chat platform.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience educating individuals/families on community resources and making referrals (e.g., elder care, food assistance, housing).
  • At least 1 year working with elderly and/or adults with disabilities, including needs assessments and referrals.
  • At least 1 year in social work, social services, or case management, involving intake, assessments, referrals, or discharge planning.
  • Experience conducting resource needs assessments (e.g., eldercare, housing, childcare).
  • Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25mbps/3mbps), hardwired into your modem, not Wi-Fi.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Experience in a call center environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with diverse populations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related social services/health field required.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Anticipated weekly hours: 40
  • Time type: Full-time
  • Pay range: $21.10 - $44.99 per hour, dependent on experience and other factors.
