Position Summary

Fully Remote ANYWHERE within the continental U.S.

Training hours: 9 - 5:30 EST or CST

Work hours after training: 10 - 6:30 pm EST

The WorkLife Consultant (WLC) is part of the WorkLife Team and provides education about community resources, resource needs assessment, and community and/or national referrals to a variety of customers for needs including childcare, elder/adult care, and basic/everyday needs. The WLC is responsible for providing Worklife consultation and informational services to members and plan sponsors. Common requests include emergency financial assistance, housing, childcare, elder care, and health-related needs.

Additional Responsibilities:
  1. The WLC assesses resource needs, proposes options, and researches/screens potential community service providers to meet assessed needs.
  2. Provides resource referrals and educates individuals on how to utilize resources for various life and work situations.
  3. Documents member interactions and research/case fulfillment in the system appropriately.
  4. Works in an inbound and outbound call center environment, including making outbound calls and conducting research.
  5. Some calls may be administrative or customer service-oriented, not all research/referral related.
  6. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs, including staffing an online chat platform.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience educating individuals/families on community resources and referring to these resources (e.g., elder care, food assistance, transportation, housing, rental assistance, support groups, human services).
  • 1+ year of experience working with elderly and/or adults with disabilities, including resource needs assessments and referrals.
  • 1+ year of experience in social work, social services, case management, or related fields (e.g., assessments, discharge planning, advocacy).
  • 1+ year of experience conducting resource needs assessments (e.g., eldercare, rent/utility/housing, childcare).
  • Must have access to broadband or fiber internet with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload, hardwired into your modem, not Wi-Fi.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking ability.
  • Experience working in a call center environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office applications.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related health/social services field required.
  • Master's degree in Social Work preferred.

Anticipated weekly hours: 40

Time type: Full time

Pay Range

The typical pay range is $21.10 - $44.99 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location. The role is eligible for bonuses and incentives.
