Position Summary

Fully Remote ANYWHERE within the continental U.S.

Training hours: 9 - 5:30 EST or CST

Work hours after training: 10 - 6:30 pm EST

Role Overview

The WorkLife Consultant (WLC) is part of the WorkLife Team and provides education about community resources, resource needs assessment, and community and/or national referrals to a variety of customers for needs such as childcare, elder/adult care, and basic/everyday needs. The WLC offers Worklife consultation and informational services to members and plan sponsors, with frequent requests related to emergency financial, housing, childcare, elder/adult care, and health needs.

Additional Responsibilities
  1. Assess resource needs, propose options, and research/screen potential community service providers to meet assessed needs.
  2. Provide resource referrals and educate individuals on how to utilize resources for various life and work situations.
  3. Document member interactions and research/case fulfillment accurately in the system.
  4. Work in an inbound and outbound call center environment, including making outbound calls and conducting research.
  5. Handle administrative or customer service calls as needed.
  6. Participate in staffing an online chat platform as required.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience educating individuals/families on community resources and referring to such resources (elder care, food assistance, transportation, housing, etc.).
  • At least 1 year of experience working with the elderly and/or adults with disabilities, including conducting resource needs assessments.
  • Over 1 year of experience in social work, social services, case management, or related fields.
  • Experience with conducting resource needs assessments (eldercare, rent/utility/housing, childcare).
  • Access to broadband or fiber internet with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload, wired directly to the modem.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking skills.
  • Experience working in a call center environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related health/social services field required.
  • Master's degree in Social Work preferred.

Anticipated weekly hours: 40

Time type: Full-time

Compensation

The typical pay range is $21.10 - $44.99 per hour, with actual offers based on experience, education, and location. The role may include bonuses or incentives.
