Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is seeking an internal Telephone Operator to support clinical staff by answering calls, routing to appropriate offices, and dispatching emergency Code alerts. The role is non-exempt with a day shift (7a-3:30p) and a 32-hour schedule, offering a fast-paced, team-focused work environment.

Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, dispatching Code alerts, processing related paperwork, and maintaining on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Terminology preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with accurate keyboarding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Good verbal and written communication skills to include proper vocabulary, spelling, grammar and sentence structure.4. Good customer service skills.5. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.Preferred:1.
