Job summary

Concentra, Inc in Los Angeles is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the patient care team. The MSS will perform routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and support front/back office tasks to ensure a smooth patient workflow.

The role requires completion of a MA program (externship preferred) or equivalent experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong customer service skills to deliver a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational/Technical/Business School; externship preferred, or at least 6 months of direct patient care as MA.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures; occupational medicine knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug/alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for exams—vital signs, ancillary testing, vaccines, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram, respirator fit testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments; triage emergent patients.
• Handle clerical tasks in front and back office with proper record keeping.
