Premier System Support is seeking a Chart Completion Tech to prep and scan paper documents, validate records, and ensure chart accuracy for continuity of care. You will handle sensitive information under HIPAA guidelines and support audits and chart reviews as needed.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, high school completion or GED, and medical terminology knowledge. Strong typing, organization, and communication skills are essential.

Formación

• Must have completed a course in medical terminology or be enrolled in a class.
• Ability to read and write to review and maintain patient medical record charts.
• Ability to type accurately at acceptable speeds.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and independent work capability.
• Basic analytical skills to determine work priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Preps, scans, and validates all paper documents into the optical scanning system for chart completion.
• Scans and validates loose reports received by the department.
• Analyzes medical records for deficiencies in chart documentation.
• Releases information for continuity of care requests following HIPAA guidelines.
• Processes government audit and specialized chart review requests (UVMC only).
• Monitors incomplete charts and follows up with physicians.
• Follows JC/Conditions of Participations and federal/state requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned and needed.
