Job summary

Compass Intervention Center is seeking a dynamic Medical Records Clerk to process release of information requests and assemble charts for compliance. The role requires maintaining patient confidentiality, handling telephone inquiries, and using Word and Excel to manage records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Record Technology program preferred
• 1-3 years hospital Medical Records experience preferred
• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Process Release of Information requests
• Assemble charts to ensure 100% compliance
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations
• Answer telephone and provide assistance or take messages
• Use computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel
