TEEMA seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Medical Program Assistant Associate to join our clinical team in a correctional facility. The role centers on scheduling, medical records stewardship, and information governance to support patients, staff, and leadership.

Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, maintaining medical records, and handling correspondence with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of patient scheduling experience in a clinical setting or 1 year of hands-on experience as a CNA or Medical Assistant.
  • Ability to multitask within a fast-paced clinical environment with competing priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with high data-entry accuracy.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication across teams.
  • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association and AED training.
  • Work Type: Full-Time Contract Position; Work setting: On-site, correctional facility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient appointments and program schedules to ensure efficient clinical workflows.
  • Maintain the integrity of medical records through secure organizing, updating, and archiving of patient information.
  • Prepare, manage, and distribute administrative correspondence across the unit.
  • Facilitate accurate and timely release of medical information while preserving privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Keep databases up-to-date and provide data retrieval/reporting to support clinical governance.
  • Maintain readiness to provide life-support and first aid until advanced care arrives; other duties as assigned.
