Job summary

TEEMA seeks a Medical Program Assistant Associate (MPAA) for our Health Service Unit. The role centers on scheduling, medical records stewardship, and program coordination to support patients, clinicians, and admin leaders in a correctional setting.

On-site duties emphasize patient advocacy and efficient clinical operations. The MPAA will manage patient care scheduling, maintain medical records integrity, and facilitate information governance while coordinating cross-team communication and data

Qualifications

  • Experience scheduling in a clinical setting (1 year minimum) or CNA/MA experience.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • High data-entry accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED training.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient appointments and program schedules to support clinical workflows.
  • Maintain integrity of medical records, organizing and archiving patient data.
  • Prepare and distribute administrative correspondence across the unit.
  • Facilitate release of medical information with privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Update databases and enable reporting for clinical governance.
  • Provide first response support with BLS until EMS arrives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
