Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Tyler, TX is seeking a Scheduler to organize and coordinate patient appointments and support clinical staff. You will verify demographics, insurance data, and appointment details while maintaining excellent call center and clerical standards.

The role requires 1+ year in a medical office, strong detail orientation, and proficiency with MS Office; on-site work with full-time hours in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience in a medical office or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Detail-oriented and professional with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; able to follow verbal and written instructions with proper grammar.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all provider appointments in the computer system and handle patient scheduling.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information in the system.
• Confirm appointments and respond to inquiries about scheduling.
• Instruct patients on locations and directions; answer phones and direct callers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
