Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to handle incoming calls, schedule patient appointments, and coordinate with providers and staff. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in administration or medical offices, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments with providers.
• Coordinate scheduling with patients, providers, locations, and payers; obtain demographics and insurance information.
• Distribute faxes and messages; direct calls to appropriate parties and manage scheduling communications.
