Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is hiring for a Guest Services Associate. This role supports patient access by answering calls, registering patients, collecting co-pays, and ensuring accurate demographics and billing information across multiple locations.

You will work closely with clinical partners to maintain smooth patient flow, provide patient education on tests and portals, and uphold a safe, welcoming environment. Prior customer service in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in health services administration or related field preferred.
• High School graduate required.
• 1+ year of customer service in medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls, responds to inquiries, and directs calls appropriately.
• Welcomes patients; updates, verifies, and enters patient demographics, insurance, and billing information and processes forms into appropriate systems.
• Registers patients for services, ensures accuracy, facilitates timely discharge, and maximizes reimbursement.
• Maintains a working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments.
• Provides education to patients regarding test locations, patient portal use, and follow-up actions.
• Requests co-pays and/or outstanding balance at the time of check-in respectfully but firmly.
• Other duties as assigned.
