Job summary

Select Medical in Houston, TX is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and handle scheduling and front-desk duties at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will support business processes, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and coordinate with attorneys, insurers, translators, and leadership teams to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, effective communication, and accuracy in appointment and payment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Front Desk experience required.
• 1 year of Medical Office experience required.
• 1 year of Scheduling experience required.
• Experience with Insurance Verification preferred.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, and provide information about visit expectations.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Maintain communications with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Schedule: Weekdays - Varies

Compensation: Starting at $16 hour (pending experience)

• - Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• - Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
