Job summary

Select Medical's Wareham outpatient center is hiring a Patient Service Specialist to greet, register and assist patients at the front desk. You will handle scheduling, information flow, and basic administrative tasks to ensure a smooth visit for every patient.

In this PRN role, you will work Weekdays with some evenings until 6pm, as needed, and earn $19.00–$21.00 per hour. Previous front desk or healthcare experience is preferred, with a High School diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Front desk experience preferred (1 year).
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide visit information.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance, translation companies, leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and perform insurance verifications.

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday, some evenings until 6pm

As a patient service specialist, you'll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Healthcare experience
