Select Medical Westfield is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to welcome patients at the front desk, register them, and help with the next appointment. This part-time role supports the outpatient physical therapy center and helps ensure a smooth, friendly visit.

You will schedule appointments by phone or in person, collect co-pays, and coordinate with insurers and other partners to verify information. The schedule is weekdays, with a focus on delivering excellent patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Overview

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Location: 75 Springfield Road, Westfield, Ma 01085

Type of Employment:Part Time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday

Compensation:$18.00 - $20.00/hour

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy centers, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.
