This full-time floater role covers check-in, check-out, insurance verification, and scheduling, ensuring smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment. Key duties include greeting patients, collecting payments, entering demographic data, scheduling follow-ups, preparing orders for imaging and labs, verifying coverage, and coordinating recalls.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of front office procedure.
• Knowledge of insurance company's policy and procedure.
• Knowledge of governmental, legal and regulatory provisions related to HIPAA.
• Knowledge of diagnostic testing procedures.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Knowledge of basic EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Assist Check-In: greet patients, collect copay/deductible, enter demographic and insurance data into the computer, verify accuracy.
• Assist Check-Out: schedule return visits and procedures, write orders for imaging and labs, prepare ultrasound appointments, send recall letters.
• Insurance Verification: confirm coverage/benefits, update insurance data, verify co-pays/deductibles, request authorizations and referrals as needed.
• Appointment Scheduler/Phone Specialist: gather new patient info, schedule appointments, take messages, create EMR messages, assist callers.
