Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist III to be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive experience while supporting efficient clinic operations and patient care.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying registrations and insurance, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, collecting payments, and supporting MyChart usage. 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Billing 101 preferred.
• 1-2 years in medical/office or customer service environments preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Check in patients and verify registrations and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Answer phones and route messages appropriately.
• Collect payments and support billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Partner with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Oversee daily work queues and reception duties.
• Train new reception staff.
