Job summary

BD is seeking a field-based medical sales professional to drive revenue in the assigned territory. You will train surgeons and OR staff on BD products, provide on-site support during procedures, and grow current accounts while developing new business.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years sales experience (medical sales preferred), traveling up to 60%, and the ability to build strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience, medical sales experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
• Ability to travel at least 60%, including overnight travel.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Understands contract administration and group purchasing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure accurate use of BD products.
• Train and educate physicians and hospital staff on product use.
• Ensure surgeons and staff have the most current product information available.
• Grow sales by developing new accounts and maximizing existing relationships.
• Meet territory sales and profitability goals and manage backorders and pricing information.
• Attend customer meetings and tradeshows; provide post-convention reports and recommendations.
