Job summary

CCBC is seeking a part-time instructor to teach in the Medical Assistant Program at the Essex, Hunt Valley, and Randallstown campuses. The role involves delivering group, online, and one-on-one instruction and aligning lessons with course objectives.

Ideal candidates will hold CMA certification (or higher such as RN, LPN, PMA) with at least three years of full-time CMA experience and familiarity with online teaching platforms, plus solid knowledge of clinical and administrative medical

Qualifications

  • Current CMA certification or higher (RN, LPN, PMA) is required.
  • Three (3) years of full-time experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Experience with online learning platforms and teaching is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of clinical, administrative, and medical aspects of the field.

Responsibilities

  • Provides group, one-on-one, and online instruction to students.
  • Plans and prepares lessons aligned with course objectives.
  • Completes all required administrative documentation in a timely manner.
  • Conducts office hours.

Part‑time position responsible for teaching classes in the MedicalAssistant Program.

Instructors must have three (3) years of current experience workingas a certified Medical Assistant, experience teaching, and expertknowledge of all clinical, administrative, and medical aspects ofthe job. Examples of courses are: EKG, Venipuncture and SpecimenCollection, Basic Patient Intake, Pharmacology, and other relatedmedical skill classes. Instructors will be required to complete allclass forms and documentation related to the course and alldocumentation required by the college.

Location(s): Essex, Hunt Valley & Randallstown

Pay rate for non‑credit courses in Continuing Education arecommensurate with education and experience qualifications.

Minimum Requirements
  • Current Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) or highercertification such as RN, LPN, or PMA required
  • Three (3) years of full-time career experience as a CertifiedMedical Assistant.
  • Must demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of thefield.
  • Experience with Online learning platforms and teachingexperience preferred.
  • Computer hardware and software proficiency.
Class Specific Essential Duties
  • Provides group, one‑on‑one and/or online instruction tostudents.
  • Plans and prepares lessons in accordance with courseobjectives.
  • Completes all required administrative documentation in a timelymanner.
  • Conducts office hours.

Adjunct Faculty, PartTime Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save forretirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees maycontribute traditional pre‑tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b)post‑tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combinedfor the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYAFinancial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorizationform is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/HumanResources Forms.
