Job summary

CCBC is seeking part-time instructors for Community Education Life Enrichment courses focused on academics, culinary arts, fitness & wellness, performing arts, STEM, and visual arts for youth aged 6–17. Instructors must be subject-matter experts and ready to submit course proposals with youth-related teaching experience.

Applicants must complete all required college forms and pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a High School diploma or GED. Academic degrees or professional credentials in a related discipline preferred.
  • Must be a subject matter expert.
  • Computer proficiency required – (Computer proficiency based on course needs)
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience working with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

  • Teach non-credit Continuing Education Life Enrichment courses for Youth ages 6-17.
  • Submit a course proposal including classes to be taught and youth teaching experience related to the course(s).
  • Complete all forms and documentation required by the college.
  • Successfully complete a criminal background investigation including fingerprinting.

Part Time Instructors for Community Education Life Enrichmentcourses that focus on academics, culinary arts, fitness &wellness, performing arts, STEM science, STEM technology, STEMengineering, STEM math, and visual arts for Youth. Instructorsshould have experience teaching and working with children betweenthe ages of 6-17, and have an expert knowledge of and practicalexperience in the subject they are proposing to teach.

Instructors will be required to complete all forms anddocumentation related to the course, all documentation required bythe college, and the ability to successfully complete a criminalbackground investigation including finger printing.

Pay rates for non-credit courses in Continuing Education arecommensurate with education and experience qualifications.

In addition to a fully complete application, applicants MUST submita course(s) proposal including 1) classes to be taught 2) youthteaching experience directly related to the course(s) beingproposed.

Location: Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex & Offsite Locations
