Job summary

CCBC in Maryland seeks part-time adjunct instructors to teach non-credit Community Education courses across campuses in Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex, MD, and remote modalities.

Classes are typically held evenings (6:00 pm–8:30 pm) and Saturdays, with pay rates commensurate with education and experience. Applicants should submit a summary of courses they would like to teach and preferred campus locations and teaching modality.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be a subject matter expert.
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Experience teaching or training in an adult setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach non-credit Community Education courses at CCBC.
  • Cover topics such as Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, Power BI, and design software.
  • Provide instruction in person or remotely as needed.

Part-time adjunct instructors are need to teach college levelnon-credit Community Education courses that focus on thefollowing:

  • Basic computers and Microsoft Office applications in Outlook, Word,Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365 Team, Form, Sway, One Drive and its certification programs.
  • Business solutions such as Microsoft SharePoint and PowerBI.
  • Desktop publishing & graphics software such as Canvas,InDesign, and Illustrated in both entry and advanced levelpositions.
  • Google suite for personal and business users.

Campus locations: Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex, MD & remoteclasses

Classes are typically held evenings (6:00 pm - 8:30 pm) andSaturdays.

Pay rates for non-credit Continuing Education are commensurate witheducation and experience.

Applicants must provide a summary of courses they would like toteach along with preferred campus location(s) and teaching modalityof choice.

    The 403(b) supplemental retirement plan is available to all CCBCemployees (Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Timeemployees).
  • Roth 403(b) is a savings feature that is available when youopen a 403(b) account. The Roth 403(b) savings feature allowsemployees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdrawtax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors:TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, PartTime Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save forretirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees maycontribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b)post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combinedfor the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYAFinancial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorizationform is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/HumanResources Forms.

Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of PublicSafety to use on all campuses.
