CCBC is seeking Adjunct instructors to teach Academic Development 101, a first year experience course designed to familiarize students with CCBC and foster the development of decision-making skills and learning strategies that link students to success in college. This 1 credit hour course helps students explore CCBC technologies, learning strategies, tentative occupational options, and create an educational plan.
Evaluation includes regular in-service training and observed teaching.

Seeking Adjunct instructors to teach Academic Development 101, afirst year experience course designed to familiarize students withCCBC and foster the development of decision-making skills andlearning strategies that link students to success in college. This1 credit hour course is an interactive course where students becomefamiliar with CCBC technologies, learning strategies, exploretentative occupational choices and create an educational plan. Uponcompletion of this course students will be able to demonstrateknowledge of CCBC policies and procedures, locate and utilizeservices, analyze use of individual time, identify strategies formanaging these while pursuing their academic plan.
Pay rate: $1,110 per credit hour
Campus Locations: Essex, Dundalk, Catonsville, Owings Mills
Associate degree required. The applicant must relate well tostudents and have the ability to create a classroom climatecharacterized by a high degree of teacher-student rapport,experience working with non-traditional, diverse studentpopulations, enthusiasm for working with first-year students,willingness and availability to attend trainings and on-goingprofessional development. All instructors are under the directsupervision of the Department Chair, required to complete regularin-service training, and are observed and evaluated regularly.Familiarity with academic advising/ARTSYS/DegreeWorks isconsidered.
