Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a primary care setting. The MA will support a PCP, perform clinical and front-desk duties, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience for patients.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, CPR/BLS, and preferably phlebotomy skills. We offer a structured schedule and comprehensive benefits to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are stocked and clean.
• Review previous medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests and referrals.
• Record data accurately in the medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Participates in outreach to patients to drive engagement.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
