Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a primary care setting. The MA will support a PCP, manage patient flow, take vitals, perform venipuncture, administer injections, and handle front-desk tasks to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification; phlebotomy experience is a plus. Competitive benefits and a pay range of $21–$24 per hour are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, wound care and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/check-out.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients as directed by the Provider.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement.
