Job summary

Marathon Health is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, combining reception duties with clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, and coordinating the patient’s overall plan of care. CPR/BLS is required at start date, phlebotomy experience is preferred, and certification is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, wound care, and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
• Record data in the medical record per guidelines and communicate results timely to patients.
• Participate in outreach to patients to improve engagement.
