Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to provide excellent patient care and an exceptional guest experience, handling both reception and clinical duties.

Requirements include a MA program graduate and CPR/BLS certification; 1 year of MA experience preferred. Phlebotomy experience is a plus, with opportunities in our modern clinics and a patient-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Document data accurately in the medical record per guidelines.
• Perform front desk duties incl. scheduling, records requests, and referrals.
• Coordinate with care team to address gaps in care and patient follow-up.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
• Engage with patients to drive engagement and timely communication.
