Job summary

Marathon Health Inc seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to join its team in Lexington. The MA collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience, handling front-d desk duties and clinical tasks alike.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of a MA program, and CPR/BLS certification at start date; phlebotomy experience is a plus. Competitive benefits are offered in a patient-first model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred; required where state rules apply.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, assist with procedures, and work with laboratories for tests.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Support care team to develop patient plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines and communicate test results.
