Job summary

Marathon Health in Minnesota seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and guest experience, acting as both MA and receptionist as needed.

Minimum 1 year MA experience, formal MA program graduate, and CPR/BLS at start. Phlebotomy is preferred; benefits start 1st of month, PTO and holidays included, scrub costs covered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of MA experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is preferred or required per state.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical info and gather updated health data from patients.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Coordinate care plans with the team and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
