Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and create a welcoming guest experience, performing front-desk duties alongside clinical responsibilities.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday with consistent hours. Requirements include MA program completion and CPR/BLS; 1 year of MA experience preferred and phlebotomy helpful.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration preferred; MA certification/registration required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Reviews prior medical information and updates health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds and assist with procedures.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations per provider order.
• Partners with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordination of care.
• Records data in medical records per guidelines and documents appropriately.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients as directed.
• Participates in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
