Job summary

Marathon Health, a leading advanced primary care provider, seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Minnesota team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and serve as both Medical Receptionist and clinical MA to enhance the patient experience.

Requirements include at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of an MA program, CPR/BLS at start date, and MA certification/registration where required; phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum of MA experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam areas are clean and stocked.
• Review and update patient health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, wound care.
• Prepare and administer medications and vaccines per orders.
• Develop patient care plans with the care team and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/check-out.
• Record data in the patient’s medical record per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
