Job summary

Marathon Health in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, acting as both a receptionist and performing clinical MA duties.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, graduation from an MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and preferred phlebotomy experience. We offer comprehensive benefits, PTO and holidays, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred/required in applicable states.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds and assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests, referrals, and coordination of care outside the clinic.
• Maintain accurate data in medical records and communicate results to patients.
