Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a Medical Assistant Lead to oversee day-to-day operations of the Medical Assistant team while continuing to provide direct patient care and clinical support. You will mentor MAs, reinforce standardized workflows, support onboarding and training, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols across both in-person and virtual care modalities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in ambulatory/outpatient healthcare environments such as physician practice, urgent care, or primary care.
• Certification options: NCMA, RMA, CMA are required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflows, patient flow, coverage needs, virtual care support and care coordination for Medical Assistants.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, onboarding and training reinforcement to Medical Assistants.
• Escalate performance, attendance and complex operational concerns to the Practice Manager as needed.
• Performs direct patient care and clinical support duties including vital signs, histories, medication reconciliation, injections, vaccines, EKGs, PAP smears and other delegated tasks.
