Job summary

CloseKnit MSO is seeking a Medical Assistant Lead to supervise the MA team while continuing direct patient care. You will guide onboarding, reinforce clinical workflows and documentation standards, and mentor staff across in-person and virtual care settings.

You will collaborate with providers, Practice Manager, and clinic leaders to improve quality, patient experience, and adherence to policies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Training Program required.
• Minimum 6 years of ambulatory/outpatient healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflows and patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.
• Coach, mentor, and onboard Medical Assistants; reinforce training and standards.
• Escalate performance, attendance, and operational concerns to the Practice Manager.
• Act as a primary clinical resource for Medical Assistants and support problem resolution.
• Monitor infection prevention, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA compliance and documentation.
• Assist with audits, barriers, and implementation of new workflows and technology.
• Perform direct patient care and clinical support tasks as directed by providers.
