PHMC Health Connection is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to coordinate daily activities of the medical assistant staff under the clinical director. You will ensure MA tasks are completed and communicate concerns to the clinical director, reporting to the Health Center Administrator.

The Lead MA will be the primary communications link for MA staff, coordinating tasks and ensuring front desk responsibilities, scheduling, insurance verification, and lab workflow are carried out efficiently.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assistant diploma are required.
• 1–2 years in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of billing procedures and insurance verification.
• Familiar with ICD-10 codes and medical terminology.
• HIPAA and confidentiality policies must be followed.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate daily activities of medical assistants under clinical director supervision.
• Ensure MA tasks are completed and communicate concerns to the clinical director.
• Assign tasks to MAs and provide coverage for other sites when needed.
• Manage front desk functions and schedule appointments in a Primary Care setting.
• Verify insurance and batch daily encounter forms; follow up with specialists.
