Job summary

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) offers a mission-driven environment focused on community health and health equity. As a Medical Assistant, you will collaborate with a skilled care team to deliver quality services and resources to our patients.

You will assist providers with onsite procedures, take vitals, perform phlebotomy, and administer vaccines. Ongoing clinical training, including Epic EMR, supports your growth and patient care impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program needed.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience or clinical externship.
• Proficiency with EMR (Epic preferred).
• Ability to work evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a care team to provide health services and resources to patients.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and administer vaccines.
• Respond to patient questions, return calls, schedule appointments, and review medical records.

Position Summary

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

Requirements

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification
• Minimum of one (1) year experience or clinical externship
• Basic proficiency withEMR (Epic preferred)
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays

ACCESS is a Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers treating patients on the frontlines of community-based health care. The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
